Department Profile
Cauvery College for Women (Autonomous) performs a noble task of giving significant role in promoting education through the ideal high classical Tamil Language to the Student Community.
Students are prescribed Tamil Language as Part I Tamil since 1985. To enhance the career prospects of the students, B.A. Tamil Literature was started in 2003 and to fulfill their dreams of higher education M.A. Tamil Literature was started in 2011.
The Department of Tamil flourished as a Research Department to equip students to widen their horizons in Tamil Language with highly Qualified Professors in 2011.
The UG and PG Syllabus was framed in such a way to make the students compete in the competitive Exams and join professional Courses.
Propagating Tamil Literature with Job offers and promoting the students as Tamil Literary scholars is the motive of the Department of Tamil.
