Department Profile
Chemistry is an incredible and a fascinating field of study. It is a branch of science concerned with the substances of which matter is composed, the investigation of their properties and reactions, and the use of such reactions to form new substances. Chemistry sometimes is referred as the "Central Science" because it connects other sciences to each other, such as Biology, Physics, Geology and Environmental Science.
ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department has a mission to create excellence in the areas of research, education and public outreach by its dedicated core set of values: excellence in teaching and research. The Department dynamically encourages and recognizes outstanding achievements of graduate students and has significant records in producing 22 university ranks (both UG and PG) inclusive of I rank.The Department is engaging itself in imparting utmost quality of academic education and determined in addressing key scientific problems, drawn together a higher esteem and recognition. The team of 13 Teaching Faculty members with dedication and determination lead the department in accomplishing teaching and research towards industrial interactions.
