TWO BEST PRACTICES OF THE INSTITUTION
BEST PRACTICE-I
Title: Cauvery Eternal Student General Assembly (CESGA)
Goal
It is a programme of edutainment and it is strategized in a way to feature the current affairs, updation of general knowledge and the ventures of the respective stream of education.
Context
The students are provided with an opportunity to showcase their performance skill as an edutainment. Further, it creates awareness to the audience witnessing the event.
Practice
It’s a preplanned schedule for the entire academic year, executed in a full swing without breach. Every Monday throughout the academic year an assembly is organized and conducted for all the UG students. Birth and death anniversaries of renowned Indian personalities and leaders are observed during the assembly. Due recognition is given to the faculty and students for their achievements in curricular and extracurricular activities.
Evidence of Success
Students volunteer to participate actively. Emerging trends and practices like MOOCs; ICT based learning; student exchange programs and recruitment drives are announced for the benefit of the student community. The aforementioned practices have had an assertive impact for teaching and student fraternity of the institution.
Problems Encountered and Resources Required
An extensive presentation becomes a time consuming activity making it a mundane chore. This setback was overcome by the electronic visual medium which has made the assembly brief and effective.
BEST PRACTICE-II
Title: Life Skills Programme
Goal
To prepare students towards a holistic development and encourage them to participate in avocation as a recreation paving way towards self employment..
Context
The students are given an opportunity to learn life skills like tailoring, yoga, zardosi, embroidery and spoken Hindi are taught so that these may aid them with financial assistance during their preparatory phase of employment.
Practice
Qualified trained personnel are appointed to systematically plan and conduct the programs followed by regular and meticulous monitoring of the learners’ progression.
Evidence of Success
Qualified students are introduced to genuine customers and activities where they are able exhibit and earn from the skill acquired. Students often emerge to become entrepreneurs of cottage or small scale industries and are absorbed by organizations that outsource related activities.
Problems Encountered and Resources Required
Learners encounter discontinuity due to lack of raw material to advance with their avocation sessions. The institution helps them to indentify suppliers and procure material at a nominal rate.
